Last month, I flew to London to celebrate the holidays with Farfetch. There is nothing quite like London around Christmastime, so I was so excited when I heard that they wanted to invite me along with a group of bloggers to spend a day celebrating around the city. The events were kept secret, so every stop was a new surprise!
The first stop was the Shop at Bluebird to try on some Farfetch pieces. I fell in love with all of the faux fur coats by Shrimps. I even picked up a gorgeous green one with pink pockets and pearl details for myself.
Next was the big surprise – a helicopter tour of the city. We got to see the city from an entirely new perspective. I loved seeing how the old and new are so intertwined – it’s such a beautiful city. We all got headsets so we could communicate with each other, the pilot, and sometimes other helicopters as well. Our pilot told us that one of the people we kept hearing on the radio was Tom Cruise, who apparently loves piloting his helicopter around London.
Next, we stopped for high tea (it is London after all) at The Rosewood. The refreshments were inspired by London’s art scene and you can see nods to artists like Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Wassily Kandinsky, Banksy and Jackson Pollock in the desserts. I can’t even remember everything that I ate, but I do remember that it was all delicious. I did my best to try every single thing we were served – the truffle finger sandwich was amazing.
Next was a quick stop at Barber and Parlor for hair and nail touchups and cocktails. The space is really cool, there is an underground cinema that shows indie movies, a restaurant on the ground floor, and a salon on the top level. It was like I dreamt up my perfect space and walked right into it!
After that we all headed dinner. Farfetch put on a gorgeous family style spread that was the perfect end to a perfect day.
The space was beautiful, and I met so many great people. So thankful to my Farfetch family for putting on such a wonderful event.
