When did this happen? It seems like we were just learning the way if felt to speak her name a few weeks ago, and now the words roll out of our mouths like we have always known and spoken them.
Her laughter bounces off the walls and wraps itself around us. It is what keeps us feeling warm when we are lonely and unsure. I am supposed to be the teacher, but I am learning from her every day. It is when I look at her that I am so grateful for the lessons I have learned. It is because of her that I love my body – it has created a life, carried it into this world and provided sustenance for it. I am stronger than I ever thought I would be from holding her in my arms. It is because of her that I know that real communication is not something you do with words. It is because of her that I know that time is constant, fleeting, and enduring.
